She is the last born of her parents, there were three of them, but her sisters their not big enough to take care of her, that’s why all of them were living with their uncle. She says her uncle is a small farmer so it was very difficult to take care of them, but he is a good man. Their life were very bad because he had his own children too, so it was very difficult to buy clothes, food and medicine for them. So she was sick for a long time, and when she was sick, she could not get the good food, that is why she looked bad and had bad health. But since she came to live in Emma’s CCC, she looks very happy when she gets clothes, good food and medicine. She, and her uncle too, are very thankful to the people who started this project. Lucia is also doing very good in school, and she is very helpful in the garden, because she have experience from her uncle to do small jobs in the farm. She also says: God will help all those who are helping them.
