Juliana is born May 2002, shortly after she was born her mother fell ill, and soon her father fell ill also. After being checked in hospital because they thought they had malaria, the doctor told them they both had HIV and that the mother should stop breastfeeding her new-born daughter. Maybe that saved the child, after a year of suffering, both parents died, and Juliana continued to stay with the grandmother who had nursed them all the last year. Since the grandfather also has the sickness and the grandmother is very poor she was very happy as the little girl was offered a place in Emma´s home. When Juliana came, she had no clothes, but since she was the same age as Emma`s youngest daughter, she could have some of her clothes. She is now the youngest child in the orphanage, and everybodys pet.
