After my fathers death, I was living alone with my mama, but she did not have the strength to work on our farm or to work with anything because she was very sick. Life with my mama was very hard, I did not get enough food, and I did not have school equipment because we lacked money. In 2002 my mama died, after that I was living in my grandmamas house, but then it was even harder to get food and pay for the house we rent. The life was very bad, I was planning to quit school and find a house cleaning job to get some food, but they told me I was too small, nobody would give me any job, and I did not get any help anywhere. I will never forget the day when Emma came to my grandmama and asked her if I would come to Emma's orphanage. I was very happy and now I am more happy to be with Emma because I feel comfortable, and I enjoy life with my friends in the home, and I get all human needs. I am very happy. I can't say all that is in my heart but I can say God bless all who are helping us. Thank you very much.

Da Elisabeth fylte 18 var hun akkurat ferdig med skolegangen, hun ville gjerne bli kokk og kom inn på en kokkeskole i Dar-es-Salaam, et års kokkeskole er nå fullført og hun har fått praksisplass i Dar.
